JodieWhite
Jodie is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist performing on horn, trumpet, and piano, whose artistry is built on a foundation of exceptional versatility and comprehensive musical understanding. Her regional performances have garnered warm critical praise, with reviewer Peter Hall of Buffalo Rising singling out her “particularly impressive” horn playing in recent local theater orchestration.
As a hornist, Jodie has performed as a substitute musician with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and was featured in the Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons concert production at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Equally at home in theatrical pits, her recent trumpet and brass doubling highlights include productions of Wonderful Town at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and Iolanthe with Opera-Lytes.
Jodie also holds a deep passion for the piano. In 2020, she embarked on a dedicated piano degree to master the instrument from the dual perspectives of both performer and technician. Beyond the stage, she blends these worlds as a professional brass and piano technician, operating her own business, Sassy Brass Cleanings and Tunings.
Jodie holds a Bachelor of Music in K-12 Music Education, a Master of Music in Horn Performance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance all from SUNY Fredonia. This fall, she will be attending the renowned North Bennet Street School, entering their Piano Technology program to further elevate her craft in piano restoration, tuning, and maintenance.
